An Australian zookeeper is on the mend, two days after he escaped from the jaws of a 12-foot crocodile.
Trent Burton was feeding Johnny the Croc this weekend when the animal suddenly clamped down on his hand and slowly dragging the trainer into his pond in front of a horrified crowd.
Somehow, Burton managed to free himself - his mangled hand intact.
"As I was dragging myself out of the water my total focus was on my legs. Am I about to feel another big clamp down on my leg? Until I'm out on the land, I'm not out of trouble," he explained.
Despite his brush with death, Burton says he'll be back in the pit feeding Johnny the Croc as soon as doctors clear him.
