CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Police have released surveillance video of a smash-and-grab heist at a high end Philadelphia clothing store.
The bandits made off with $12,000 worth of merchandise from the Vince store in Rittenhouse Square
The video shows three burglar smashing the front window of the store in the 1700 block of Walnut Street early Saturday morning.
They quickly get to work, grabbing armfuls of clothes, before heading out and fleeing a light-colored sedan, possibly blue, heading south on 17th.
There were two men and one woman involved in the heist.
They were in and out within 15 seconds.
"They usually have an idea what's in the store, what kind of merchandise they want to get, how - in terms of their plan - to access the store and get the merchandise and get back out," said Lt. John Stanford.
Philadelphia Police say the smash and grab is the third such burglary in the past month in Center City. Bloomingdales and Century 21 were hit last month.
So far, police say, there doesn't appear to be a connection.
Employees of the nearby Stuart Weitzman store say thefts are common, but smash and grabs are not.
"We have an alarm system, of course, and the gate, which really helps. A lot of stores down here don't have the gate as an option to protect the store," said Ashley Dill.
Vince does not have gates, and the theives took advantage.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to contact Philadelphia police.
