New food offering for North Philly

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- North Broad Street in Philadelphia continues to boom, and Thursday night, a new restaurant served its first meals.

This is "South", which offers a southern-inspired menu and a jazz parlor.

Mayor Michael Nutter was on hand for the opening.

"South" is owned by longtime Philadelphia restaurateurs, brothers Robert and Benjamin Bynam who used to own the iconic jazz club Zanzibar Blue.
