NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A teacher in North Philadelphia is inspiring her students not to give up through daily affirmation of hope.

Students in Jasmyn Wright's third-grade class at Frederick Douglass Mastery Charter School start the day with a self-affirmation exercise.

The video of their exercise has gone wildly viral.

"What if it's too hard? What if it's too rough?" says Ms. Wright in the video.

Her students respond: "I'm going to push through."

Wright says she's inspiring them to push through barriers and they can do anything they put their mind to.

She says this election has brought a lot of racial unrest and she wants her students who feel troubled or upset to know they are strong, they are smart and they are supported.
