Playing child finds body in North Philadelphia, police say

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a child playing in a field happened upon a dead body in North Philadelphia.

The discovery was made around 6:15 p.m. along the 2500 block of North 11th Street.

Police say the body was bound with duct tape and wrapped in a blanket.

Investigators have not determined the gender or identity of the victim.

It is also unclear how long the body had been there or where the person died.
