VIDEO: Footprints lead police to suspect
A thief who targeted an Ohio church is behind bars because of the trail he left behind.

A police department in Ohio is giving a big thanks to this winter weather for helping them solve a crime.

Officers in Whitehall responded to a burglar alarm at a church early Tuesday morning.

They say the thief, 22 year-old James Green, broke a window and stole an X-box from a kids playroom.

But he made the mistake of walking half a mile through the fresh powdered snow.

Officers followed the trail of footprints to his home a block away and found the stolen X-Box in the living room.

Green was arrested within an hour and confessed to committing the crime.
