Special Olympics to host Philly Unified Soccer League Championship
Fourteen local high school teams made up of students with and without intellectual disabilities to compete in this year's soccer championship.

PHILADELPHIA -- It was about competition, belonging on the field and being great teammates.

It's called the Unified Soccer League Championships and it's a chance for athletes of all levels from Philadelphia schools to compete together.

Fourteen high school teams from across our area competed in the tournament at the Northeast High School Stadium on May 9.

This is a league that allows for all students, with or without disabilities, a chance to compete.

And it's a chance for these student athletes to show win or lose, what they're made of. For more information, please visit Special Olympics Pennsylvania's website.
