PHILADELPHIA, Pa (WPVI) -- Since the 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Parade is canceled for 2020, we wanted to take a look back at some outstanding memories from parades of the past. Great performances, memorable broadway plays, outstanding high school marching bands, and moving tributes to those we lost. Over the years it became clear the 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Parade is like nothing else in the city. From families getting together year after year, to families starting a new tradition, the parade will live on.
We will return to the excitement on the parkway next year, and the enthusiasm in the eyes of the children as the parade steps off. The many smiles and laughs shared by many have been priceless moments over the years and the family reunions that gather on the parkway that became endless traditions. Till then, we will celebrate in a different way this year, with the 2020 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Celebration on Thanksgiving morning.
While we are sitting at home this year, thinking of how things are different now. It's easy to forget how important things are till they are gone. How much we miss the simple things in life, such as eating out, going to parades, movies or concerts, and getting together with friends and family. And how awesome it will feel when the 6abc Dunkin' Thanksgiving Parade finally returns.
