Stretch of Broad Street renamed 'Patti LaBelle Way'

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- R&B singer Patti LaBelle had fans in Center City going wild.

People started lining up at 4:30 a.m. Tuesday morning to see her.

Broad Street between Locust and Spruce Street was renamed "Patti LaBelle Way."

The singer was born and raised in Southwest Philadelphia and reminisced about growing up in the area.

She encouraged everyone to follow their dreams.
