Police search for driver who allegedly ran from scene of crash in University City

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are asking for help locating a driver who led University of Pennsylvania police on a chase before crashing his vehicle and running away.

The driver of a white Ford Fusion dropped off a 23-year-old woman with a gunshot wound at Penn Presbyterian Medical Center around 3:30 a.m.

Police chased after the vehicle which later crashed near Market Street and Schuylkill Avenue in the University City section of Philadelphia.

The driver got out and ran off before officers could stop him.
