Person struck by train in Sharon Hill, Pa.

SHARON HILL, Pa. (WPVI) -- Delaware County officials are investigating an incident in which a train struck a person in Sharon Hill, Pennsylvania.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday near the Sharon Hill train station in the 400 block of Sharon Avenue.

Officials say the person was struck by an outbound Wilmington Newark line train.

The victim was taken to an area hospital but no word on a condition.

Service on the Wilmington Newark line was suspended but has since resumed around 7:15 p.m.
