Brandywine Valley SPCA seeking foster families for doggy holiday sleepovers
The Brandywine Valley SPCA is seeking foster families for dogs from Christmas Eve to January 3.

WEST CHESTER, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- The Brandywine Valley SPCA is asking you to give its dogs a home for the holidays.

"We're looking for families to welcome these dogs as fosters from December 24th through January 3rd to give them a break from the shelter and to capture moments that will help them find forever families," the Brandywine Valley SPCA (BVSPCA) says.

This year's sleepovers will focus on finding families to welcome the shelter's most overlooked dogs.

The BVSPCA says while the dogs are enjoying the holidays in foster care, they hope to get insights, photos and videos that will help the pets find forever families after the foster period.

A West Chester 16-year-old puts on an elaborate Christmas light display all to help animals in need.

"These are terrific companions that may be overlooked for a number of reasons," said Adam Lamb, BVSPCA CEO. "They may be a little older, they may need a home as an only pet, or they might be scared in the kennels and not show their best to adopters. All of them deserve the love of a family over the holidays."

In addition, each volunteer will be given a Big Barker dog bed during the sleepovers.

"Please consider opening your home and heart to one of our most overlooked dogs during the holidays," the BVSPCA said.
