WEST GROVE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Greenmore Rescue is a place where there is plenty of room for animals to roam.

The more than 6 acres of farm is able to provide shelter for dogs, horses an farm animals.

Julia Altman is the owner of Greenmore Rescue.

She says, "Right now, we have peacocks for adoption.

They have everything from pot belly pigs to emus, but their primary purpose is to re-home dogs from high kill shelters.

"Pretty much any animal we are able to get that needs a safe place to stay we'll bring them here," says Altman.

Julia Altman bought the farm five years ago. She started small with just a couple of dogs in the barn.

She says, "It grew and grew and eventually, we built this kennel here and now it's kind of busting out."

And, thanks to a spirited group of volunteers, the rescue is expecting to adopt a dog a day in 2015.

"That's pretty good for this little tiny farm," added Altman.
