Archdiocese announces closing of Port Richmond church

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- The Archdiocese of Philadelphia has announced that a church in Port Richmond will close.

Our Lady Help of Christians Church, located at East Allegheny Avenue and Gaul Street, will be shutting its doors for good.

Two years ago that parish merged with Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Our Lady Help of Christians Church will officially close on June 4th.
