Students head back to school in Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- It's back to school time!

Gather the books, pencils and calculators -- it's show time.

Classes are starting for students and teachers before Labor Day for the first time in the Philadelphia school district.

Action News reporter Trish Hartman has more on how students, parents and teachers are preparing for the first day, and even visits a student as she gets ready for her first day of sixth grade!
