CHESTNUT HILL (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are hunting for a bank robber who struck the day before Christmas Eve.

Investigators say the suspect entered the Citizens Bank branch at 8616 Germantown Avenue in the Chestnut Hill section around 11:30 a.m. on December 23.

Police say the gun-wielding man demanded money and then, after getting the cash, fled in an unknown direction.

Investigators describe the suspect as a black male standing six feet tall with a thin build. He was wearing a blue hooded windbreaker jacket, a black mask, light gray gloves with black palms, and dark-colored pants.

He was also carrying a black bag with orange trim on the top. Police say it could be a lunch bag or cooler.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Philadelphia police at 215-418-4000.
