PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- If you're planning to go to the Eagles game at the Linc this Sunday, chances are you'll see their new mascot.

No, Swoop hasn't lost his job - but a special Bald Eagle will be joining him at the Eagles home games.

The beautiful bird's name is Noah. When Noah was eight weeks old he fell out of his nest and landed on his head, suffering brain and eye injuries.

He went through rehab for years but it was determined that he could not be released back into the wild. That's how he ended up in the care of the Elmwood Park Zoo in Norristown.

Now fans can look for him at Lincoln Financial Field during the football season.

"He goes onto the field, he's there for the National Anthem and he appears other times throughout the game. We're thrilled because we can talk to the fan base about wildlife conservation and about the eagles," Laurie Smithwood.

There are actually eight Bald Eagles on exhibit at the Elmwood Zoo and 271 pairs of nesting bald eagles in the state of Pennsylvania.

The birds were almost extinct in the 1960s so Noah and the other Bald Eagles are a remarkable treasure.
