PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia leaders and police are calling Saturday's gun buyback in Cobbs Creek a success.
The no questions asked "Safe Summer Gun Buyback" event encouraged the public to turn in guns in exchange for a variety of gift cards.
They collected 215 handguns and 65 long guns.
Traditional rifles and shotguns were exchanged for a $100 gift card while handguns and assault rifles were traded for $200 rewards.
