2 dead in Germantown murder-suicide

GERMANTOWN (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a murder-suicide in Germantown.

It happened around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday in the 6200 block of Clearview Street.

Police say a 53-year-old man shot a 59-year-old woman multiple times in the torso and head, then turned the gun on himself.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was pronounced dead at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
