PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia has ranked as the number two best place to visit in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report.
U.S. News released its Best Places to Visit in the USA list on Tuesday.
"The first (and only) city in the USA to be named a UNESCO World Heritage City, Philly offers so much more than cheesesteaks. Visit historic spots like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell before satisfying your appetite at Reading Terminal Market," the publisher says.
New York is ranked number one on the best places to visit list.
U.S. News & World Report says its travel rankings are based on an analysis of expert and user opinions.
Philly comes in second on their list of Best Historic Destinations in the USA, as well.
