Crash on I-76 ramp injures 3 people

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Three people were hurt in a single vehicle crash near an off-ramp from the Schuylkill Expressway (I-76) in Philadelphia.

Police tell Action News a driver lost control at 2 a.m. Thursday on westbound I-76 near the entrance to Route 1 North.

The red sedan hit a light pole, which came down on the highway.

First responders had to rescue three people from the car.

There was no immediate word on their conditions.

The ramp to Route 1 was blocked as crews worked to clear the wreckage.

It was back open before dawn.
