Kelly Drive closes ahead of annual Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia

FAIRMOUNT PARK (WPVI) -- A major road closure is now in effect in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park as the city gets ready for the largest collegiate rowing event in the U.S.

Kelly Drive was closed Thursday morning between Strawberry Mansion Drive and Fountain Green Drive.

The road will remain blocked off until around 8 p.m. Saturday.

That's to accomodate the athletes and crowds in town for the annual Dad Vail Regatta on the Schuylkill River.
