Statue vandalized in Fairmount Park

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating an act of vandalism in Fairmount Park.

A statue was spray painted with anti-Nazi language and the anarchy symbol sometime Friday morning.

The statue is Thorfinn Karlsefni, an Icelandic hero who is thought to have visited the America's as early as 1004AD.

Police have not yet named any suspects.

The anti-terrorism unit is now involved in the investigation.
