School locked down in Fishtown section of Philadelphia

FISHTOWN (WPVI) -- A school in the Fishtown section of Philadelphia has been locked down over concerns about a person with a gun in the area.

26th district police officers responded to the Penn Treaty Middle School in Fishtown after 8 a.m. Thursday.

The lockdown went into effect after a person with a gun was reported in the area of Montgomery Ave. and Moyer St.

The school is located in the 600 block of East Thompson Street.
