One participant said, "People have been really excited, a great diversity of music."

Inside besides the music, there is food, rides, even an area to highlight local causes for attendees to give back.

Today the weather cooperated.

These friends brought a shower curtain to lay on since last night's rain left some mud behind.

"It was so cold, so muddy, but today is perfect," said Natasha Jones of Charlotte, North Carolina.

This is their 4th year coming here.

Courtnie Mcmillan of New York City said, "It was a tradition. Labor Day is our last weekend in the summer, so we come here. Tickets are a lot cheaper than other festivals."

While the big acts like Jay-Z bring attention, some come to discover the new music.

"The atmosphere is great. I love all the food trucks, all the acts, even the smaller ones that you don't know. It's really fun finding new music," Evan Quinn of Warminster, Pa. said.

The event in its sixth year is now proving to be a Philadelphia staple.

Shahendra Ohneswere of Roc Nation said, "We love Philadelphia, and Philadelphia has been our home since we started this festival. And we'd like to continue doing it. They go together, everything Philadelphia stands for, and everything the festival stands for. They're like two symbolic things.
