CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Groups on opposing sides of the Frank Rizzo statue controversy had both planned rallies for Monday.
Now one side is standing down, as part of a deal with the Mayor's office.
The rally in favor of leaving the statue of the former mayor where it is, in front of Philadelphia's Municipal Services Building, has been postponed because organizers will instead meet with Mayor Jim Kenney.

The other rally, calling for the statue's removal, was originally set for 4 p.m. Monday.
No further details or updates have been given since the opposing was postponed.
City councilwoman Helen Gym tweeted last week about racism and slavery, and called for the Rizzo statue to be taken down.
