Man dies after being shot multiple times in N. Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man is dead after a shooting on Saturday afternoon in North Philadelphia.

The gunfire erupted around 3:40 p.m. at 20th and Susquehanna.

Police say someone opened fire on the victim, a 37-year-old man, striking him in the head and torso.

He was rushed to the hospital by police, but he was pronounced dead a short time later.

There was no word on any arrests.
