The 6abc parade steps off tomorrow, but Wednesday evening is another big celebration - the annual tree-lighting.
Meteorologist Adam Joseph was there when the tree was lit around 5:52 p.m.
He described the tree as 54 feet tall and 7,000 pounds. The tree came from the Allegheny Mountains which is about 300 miles from Philadelphia.
The star at the top is 6 feet in diameter, and in total, there are 10,000 LED lights on the tree.
