Police: Man stalks Amazon delivery driver in Delco

CONCORD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A Delaware County man is accused of stalking an Amazon delivery driver and trying to run from police.

Joseph Keenan, 53, was arrested following in the incident on Monday in Concord Township.

The 26-year-old driver told police that a man in a red car followed him for several hours, yelling racial slurs and threatening him with a shotgun.

"At one point Mr. Keenan did take his vehicle and cut off the victim. At that point he did take the shotgun out of his vehicle and pointed it at the victim," said Tpr. Timothy Greene of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Police tried to take him into custody at his home. Keenan allegedly tried to elude state police in the residential development where he has lived for decades.

"Two of the troopers who gave Mr. Keenan verbal commands to stop did see him with his shotgun, enter his vehicle, and fled his residence at a high rate of speed," Greene said.

Neighbor Tiffany Marie Colli witness much of the fiasco.

"I saw him, my neighbor, get out of the car with the shotgun and, I don't know, attack him," she said. "So I waved the delivery guy to come over here and park in front of my house."

Other neighbors say Keenan has been a menacing figure here in this neighborhood for decades.

"Erratic behavior, obscene language, very abrasive behavior. To put it mildly, he doesn't play well with others," said James Goose.

"Came by my house, harassed my wife, said she was speeding up and down the street when she doesn't, and threatened to kill her," said Stan Wheeler.

Keenan was being held in the Delaware County Prison on $1.5 million bail. Police are awaiting drug and alcohol test results.
