
NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Two motorcyclists were killed in separate crashes Tuesday night in Newark, Delaware.
One of the fatal crashes happened just after 7:30 p.m. near the entrance to Christiana Hospital. Police say a motorcycle and an SUV collided on Churchmans Road, throwing the rider from the bike. The motorcyclist became trapped beneath a vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The cause of that crash has not yet been determined.
Police say a second deadly motorcycle crash occurred about 90 minutes earlier, roughly three miles away, in the 1000 block of Christiana Road.
In that incident, a motorcyclist was killed after colliding with another vehicle. Authorities have not released details about what led up to the crash.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
