
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say they have identified the driver wanted in connection with a deadly hit-and-run crash involving a tow truck in Frankford, sources confirmed to Action News on Friday.

Investigators say the driver of a modified tow truck fled the scene after a vehicle being towed came loose and crashed head-on into 39-year-old motorcyclist Jason Harvey, killing him.

The crash happened Saturday along the 4000 block of Frankford Avenue.
Detectives later recovered the abandoned tow truck. Police sources confirmed the modified vehicle, marked with the signage "Hooked Up," is the truck involved in the fatal incident.
Sources close to the case tell Action News that detectives have identified the hit-and-run driver and are preparing to pursue an arrest warrant.
