PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Elected officials and faith leaders joined community members on Wednesday to stand in solidarity with Philadelphia's Muslim community.

An Interfaith Unity Press Conference was held to condemn the recent arson at the Northeast Philadelphia Islamic Center.

Officials say someone targeted the building on the 1400 block of Tyson Avenue early Sunday morning.

A Northeast Philadelphia mosque was damaged in an apparent arson attack early Sunday morning, according to police.

"The attack that happened on this mosque was an attack on those fundamental beliefs that everyone here should be celebrated," said said Pa. Rep. Anthony Bellmon (D).

The Council on American-Islamic Relations is offering a $2,500 reward for information leading to a conviction.

The ATF also announced a $5,000 reward.
