MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pennsylvania (WPVI) -- A Plymouth Meeting woman made it her mission to reduce food waste, and bring it back to earth.
With her small crew, they collect scraps from businesses and residences, all with the goal to turn it into compost that will grow the seeds for future generations to come.
They're known as "Back to Earth Compost Crew."
"We are a company that is on a mission to keep food waste out of landfills and back into the soil in our communities...So we work with residences, businesses, schools, cafes, breweries. Take that food waste and transform it into a soil enhancer and fertilizer called 'compost,'" said Founder and Owner, Colleen Falicki.
"We give back finished compost to our customers twice a year, and so our customers can use that in their gardens... to fertilize their plants," she continued.
Two of the businesses they collaborate with were featured in the video above: Blossom Cafe, and Foulkeways at Gwynedd.
