ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Portions of the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City were briefly evacuated Thursday evening due to an apparent threat.
Police say an unidentified man claimed he was inside the casino with firearms and explosives.
Officers swarmed the casino and evacuated a portion of the property.
Chopper 6 was overhead just before 5:30 p.m. where more than a dozen police cruisers were stationed outside.
Drivers were prevented from entering the casino as police investigated.
Police say no suspicious individuals or devices were located. The validity of this threat is still under investigation.
Patrons have since been allowed back into the building and officers have cleared the scene.
