PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- As we get ready to celebrate our nation's semi-quincentennial, what's a party without music?
Get ready to belt out patriotic tunes because acclaimed cabaret star and singer KT Sullivan is joining Philadelphia's own crooner Eddie Bruce for a 250 Sing-Along called: "This Is My Country."
The dynamic duo is taking the stage at Broadway Cabaret at Rittenhouse Grill to celebrate the nation's milestone anniversary with patriotic songs, audience participation, and timeless American standards.
The setlist will include the best songs celebrating our country and a collection of hits from the great American songbook.
Audience members will get sheet music so they can sing along.
Sullivan and Bruce say all voices are welcome, just bring your good vibes!
"The vibe we want is a relaxed sort of loving tribute to our country, to common ground, to finding through music a way that we can share something special," says Bruce. "I think there's going to be a very warm and loving, patriotic vibe."
"No one loves music more than Americans," says Sullivan. "We wrote the songs, so we have a lot to celebrate. Music is that uniting force. It's hard to be mad at each other when we're singing together."
There are two hour-long shows happening on Tuesday, July 7, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
There's also a special, fun-themed Americana menu on tap.
