Centenarians honored during retired educators luncheon in Philadelphia's Queen Village neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Retirees who have hit the triple-digit mark were honored in Philadelphia's Queen Village neighborhood.

The Philadelphia Public School Retired Employees Association held a membership luncheon on Thursday.

Former school administrators, teachers, secretaries, building engineers, and classroom assistants were all invited.

The centenarians were recognized during the luncheon.

This event is intended to thank each retiree for all their years of service.
