Dolly Ottey Park opens at the corner of Elfreth's Alley in Old City

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Dolly Ottey Park is officially open in Old City.

A ribbon was cut on Friday at Elfreth's Alley to welcome the new space at the intersection with 2nd Street.

The park honors the woman who led preservation efforts for America's oldest inhabited street in the 1930's.

This new space is ready just in time for the nation's 250th anniversary celebrations.
