Emergency repairs underway for sinking road in Chester County

EAST WHITELAND TOWNSHIP, Pa. (WPVI) -- A road in Chester County is sinking - prompting emergency repairs.

The Action Cam was at the scene on Route 29 near Quarry Hill Road in East Whiteland Township.

One lane is closed as road repairs are underway.

Crews say they were first made aware of the issue Sunday afternoon.

They are still trying to determine what is causing the road to sink.

This is the same intersection that underwent lengthy repairs for more than a year in an attempt to fix this same problem.
