Fire damages tavern in Camden County

HADDON TWP. (WPVI) -- Officials say a fire damaged a tavern in Haddon Township, New Jersey early Wednesday morning.

The fire broke out just before 2:30 a.m. at the Tom Fischer's Tavern on the unit block of West Cuthbert Boulevard.

Firefighters arrived to find flames showing in a rear designated smoking area.

Officials say there was smoke damage at the bar.

Crews placed the fire under control within twenty minutes.

The tavern had apartments above, but they were unoccupied at the time.

There were no reports of any injuries.

The tavern is expected to re-open later today.
