PENNSAUKEN, New Jersey (WPVI) -- It was a triumphant homecoming for Grayson Porter, who was born premature in December of 2023 and finally made it home in July of 2025.
At his birth, he was just past 23 weeks gestation. His underdeveloped lungs led to complications that resulted in 10 total surgeries, a cancer diagnosis, and more.
Action News first shared Grayson's story the day after the Eagles won Super Bowl LIX. The family had found hope and levity by watching games with him and dressing him up in Eagles gear each Sunday.
They also created a Facebook page called, 'Growing with Grayson,' which has amassed nearly 5,000 followers. It has even helped them reach other families in similar circumstances.
Grayson was born at Pennsylvania Hospital and transferred to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. His parents, Sara and Kevin, were trained at the CHOP Progressive Care Unit to be independent stay 24-hour caregivers.
Watch the video above to see the heartwarming moment Grayson came home and what the family is looking forward to next.
