DOVER, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police are investigating a fatal crash involving a school bus and an electric bicycle in Dover.
The crash happened at the intersection of West Lebanon Road and Royal Grant Way around 4pm on Friday.
Investigators say the school bus moved to the right-turn lane to turn at an intersection.
At the same time, the electric bicycle rode alongside the sidewalk next to the lane.
Police say the e-bike rider did not stop at the posted bicycle stop sign before the intersection.
As the bus made the turn, the e-bike continued forward, striking the passenger side of the bus.
Police say a 14-year-old boy from Dover, who is believed to be the e-bike passenger, was killed.
A 16-year-old boy from Camden, Delaware, who investigators believe to be the e-bike driver, is being treated for serious injuries.
Neither rider was wearing his helmet.
The bus was associated with the Caesar Rodney School District.
The bus driver and 21 elementary school students were not injured.
