LynUp Cafe brings West African vibe to the Northeast with music beats and authentic eats

TORRESDALE (WPVI) -- LynUp Cafe and Lounge in Torresdale is a whole vibe for music, West African food, and more.

Owner Prince Gbee is from Liberia, where he was a DJ for 15 years. He says he always wanted to own a spot that would combine his passions of food and music.

Authentic cuisine is on order all day and night, some nights until the wee hours. Prince can be found mingling with guests -- who he says become like family -- and behind the turntables, spinning everything from Afro-beats to jazz.
