Man critical after being struck by SUV at McDonald's drive-thru

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police are investigating a pedestrian accident at a McDonald's drive-thru in the city's Crescentville section.

The incident occurred around 11:15 p.m. Saturday at the McDonald's on the 700 block of Adams Avenue.

According to a preliminary investigation, a 2015 Ford was driving through the restaurant's drive-thru lane when the vehicle ran over a man who was lying on the ground.

Medics transported the 44-year-old man to the hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

The driver of the Ford, identified as a 31-year-old man, remained at the scene.

Police say no charges have been filed at this time.
