
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 36-year-old man is fighting for his life after being shot in North Philadelphia.
It happened on the 1500 block of West Allegheny Avenue just before 11 p.m. on Monday.
When officers arrived, they found the victim suffering from gunshot wounds to his stomach and back.
He was rushed to the hospital, where he remains in critical condition.
A 70-year-old man was also taken into custody and officers recovered a firearm from the man's right front pants pocket.
Police say the shooting stemmed from a physical altercation inside the home.
Officials believe this may have been self-defense.
Charges are pending and the investigation remains ongoing.
