Man dies after accident involving wood chipper in Lower Southampton Township

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A man died Monday afternoon in Bucks County after sustaining injuries in an accident involving a wood chipper, officials said.

The incident happened around 4:40 p.m. on the unit block of Valley View Drive in Lower Southampton Township.

Authorities say the man, believed to be in his 60s, was working outside when part of his body became caught in the machine.

The victim has not yet been identified.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation.
