Man dies after being shot multiple times in Philadelphia's Strawberry Mansion neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal shooting in the city's Strawberry Mansion section on Friday night.

It happened around 7 p.m. on the 1700 block of North 31st Street.

Police found a 49-year-old man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body.

The victim was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead just before 7:30 p.m.

Investigators were able to recover a weapon from the scene, but no arrests have been made.

The victim has not been identified.

The shooting remains under investigation.
