NTSB cites SEPTA inspection failure in Delaware County trolley wire incident

SPRINGFIELD TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- The National Transportation Safety Board has determined the most likely cause of an incident in which live wires fell onto a SEPTA trolley last year in Delaware County.

The incident occurred on Sept. 25 near the Scenic Road Station in Springfield Township.

In a report, the NTSB said SEPTA's failure to inspect the overhead wire system prevented the identification of unsafe conditions.
