Man killed in apartment fire in Northeast Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man was killed in an apartment fire Saturday morning in Northeast Philadelphia.

The Action Cam was on the scene at the Manchester Apartments along the 2800 block of Welsh Road at around 1:15 a.m.

After firefighters brought the blaze under control, crews found a 63-year-old man dead inside the unit.

The fire was contained to the basement apartment unit and no other evacuations were necessary.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
