Motorcyclist killed in crash with tractor-trailer on I-476 in Lehigh County

NORTH WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Lehigh County are investigating a deadly crash on the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

It happened around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes of I-476 near mile marker 63 in North Whitehall Township.

Investigators say a 39-year-old man was killed after his motorcycle collided with a tractor-trailer.

The motorcyclist was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead.

His identity has not been released.

No other injuries were reported.

The crash remains under investigation.
