TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Electric bill relief is on the way for New Jersey residents.
The State Board of Public Utilities deemed it necessary following a sharp increase in electricity costs and record-high temperatures.
Customers with Atlantic City Electric, Jersey Central Power and Light and PSE&G will all get $100 credits.
They will be applied to bills for September and October at $50 each.
The state says low-income households will also receive an additional $25 monthly credit through February of 2026.
